Sometimes I wonder if there is an imaginary medal of honor awarded to those skilled at multitasking. Many of us have a tendency to juggle multiple tasks at the same time. And society seems increasingly congratulatory toward those who multitask best.

Time—we all have a unique sense of what it means. Whether we are counting the days until our next big adventure or embracing the mundane moments that occur at any given point, each one of us experiences something unique as times passes by. The inclination to hold on tightly to what we have is rooted in our ability to protect essential elements in our lives. We often associate a memory, story, or utilitarian purpose with artifacts we accumulate.
Imagine this. A friend challenges you to get rid of every non-essential item in your home. She has recently jumped on the ‘Minimalist’ bandwagon. |
